The University Clinic for Psychiatry II sees itself as a supra-regional treatment facility for mental and psychosomatic disorders. Focal points are

- anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders

- stress and trauma following disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders

- Somatoform disorders including chronic pain disorders

- eating disorders

- Adaptation disorders in severe or chronic physical illnesses

- adjustment disorders in crisis phases of life

- Psychological factors in physical diseases, e. g. inflammatory intestinal diseases, irritable
  bowel, asthma, etc. )
